Shumi Holistic Wellness Set
Price: €174.90
Click: shumi.bio
A quartet of organic mushroom extracts to drink throughout the day. Start with Lion’s Mane – said to improve focus – and Shitake, for metabolic health. Take antioxidant-loaded Chaga at lunch and finish with Reishi: the latter has long been used to encourage a healthy sleep cycle. While HTSI testers haven’t noticed a significant boost in energy yet, the diluted drinks make for an agreeable, healthier-tasting alternative to your mid-morning caffeine.
Victoria Beckham x Augustinus Bader The Concealer Pen
Price: £64
Click: victoriabeckhambeauty.com
With a formula that contains Augustinus Bader’s signature TFC8 – a proprietary technology proven to combat signs of ageing – Victoria Beckham’s first concealer blends skincare with natural coverage. Choose between 16 shades; the aim is for you to need it less the more you use.
Clinique La Prairie x La Prairie Life Matrix Haute Rejuvenation Cream
Price: £1,550
Click: laprairie.com
After 40 years apart, longevity clinic Clinique La Prairie and skincare brand La Prairie have reunited to create a cream that combines their work in cellular optimisation. It contains a “multi-dimensional array of actives” that promises to restore cells by supporting the “youth longevity pathways” identified by La Prairie’s scientists. Use sparingly – a little goes a long way. Expect an immediate glow.
Violette_fr Bisou Jelly collection
Price: £30 each
Click: violettefr.com
Make-up artist Violette Serrat launched her bestselling range of balm lipsticks three years ago. Now comes a collection of jelly-based tones. Just like their matte predecessors, each shade – including berry and rosy pink – is intended to give a “just bitten” effect, or as the French say, bouche mordue.
Vida Glow Pro Collagen+
Price: £55 for 30 servings
Click: uk.vidaglow.com
Arriving 10 years after the launch of the brand’s Natural Marine Collagen – one unit of which sells every four seconds globally – this collagen supplement claims to bring faster, more effective results. Clinical trials revealed a 42 per cent wrinkle reduction in just 21 days.
Officine Universelle Buly Eau Gymnastique
Price: €70
Click: buly1803.com
Stinky gym shoes under the desk causing you consternation? Buly’s new water-based sneaker spray uses “microencapsulation” technology to help preserve “the smell of newness”. The result is a scent – with a distinct note of marzipan – that’s almost as good as one of the brand’s regular perfumes.
U Beauty The Sculpt Neck & Décolleté Concentrate
Price: £128
Click: theubeauty.co.uk
Following the brand’s award-winning Sculpt Arm Compound, this ceramide-rich formula promises to soften fine lines in as little as five days. Apply to the neck, jawline and décolletage.
Gezeiten Liquid Skin
Price: £215
Click: gezeiten.com
Available in both day and night formulas, the latest launch from clinically backed Gezeiten builds on the brand’s research into marine biotechnology. It comes in sci-fi-style green refillable packaging with a cocktail of Botox-like actives to fight premature lines and wrinkles. Best for sensitive skin showing the first signs of ageing.
Haeckels Seaweed Solar Protect SPF50+
Price: £45
Click: haeckels.co.uk
A first foray into suncare from the Margate-based natural skincare brand, and a good one. The serum-like SPF’s hero ingredient is dulse, a seaweed used to hydrate, protect, soothe and treat inflammation, while oat extract is used for its anti-pollution properties. HTSI testers found it a nourishing alternative to the typical SPF creams out there. The oily consistency gives you a glowy complexion, instead of a dull cast, and can also be massaged into the hairline.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day High-Shine Gloss
Price: £30
Click: livingproof.co.uk
Most glosses contain silicones, which can build up on the hair shaft and lead to damage or dryness. Living Proof’s option forgoes silicones in favour of a reflective emollient and optical brightener. The promise is twice the shine for up to three washes – and it delivers. HTSI testers noticed softer, more manageable hair for at least a week.
Dolce & Gabbana Everlift Luminizer
Price: £50
Click: dolcegabbana.com
Part of a new 11-piece make-up line – think primers, mascaras and plumping lip glosses – this oil-infused highlighting powder offers up to 16 hours of glow. The shade suits all skin types and comes in a refillable case embossed with a sacred heart. Pretty.
Sisley Intense Nutrition Hair Care mask
Price: £100
Click: sisley-paris.com
This treatment tackles dry hair by replenishing lipids, the fatty acids that help protect hair against damage. Much like its bestselling Restructuring Nourishing Balm, Sisley’s new mask gives results in as little as five minutes: overnight application isn’t necessary. Lab tests found 122 per cent more lipids present in hair after a month of weekly use.
Diptyque Essences de Diptyque collection
Price: £225 for 100ml EDP
Click: diptyqueparis.com
Marking what the brand calls a new olfactory chapter, this collection of five fragrances is inspired by different natural materials: coral, mother-of-pearl, bark, water lily and desert rose. HTSI’s favourite is Lilyphéa, a crisp blend of galbanum and violet leaf. Each bottle features artwork by Irish illustrator Nigel Peake.
MZ Skin Microtox Eye Serum
Price: £140
Click: mzskin.com
MZ Skin founder Maryam Zamani – also a leading oculoplastic surgeon – often hears clients complaining of “tired eyes”. Her response has been to create a hyaluronic acid-infused eye serum that she says tightens, lifts and reduces dark circles.
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Night Power Bounce Creme
Price: £88
Click: esteelauder.co.uk
This moisturiser works on the basis that skin’s collagen production peaks at night. With eight collagen-supporting ingredients, it’s designed to sync with the body’s natural rhythms to help boost elasticity and reduce signs of ageing – 92 per cent of trial participants reported bouncier skin after one application.
Chanel 31 Le Rouge Matte lipstick
Price: £140 each
Click: chanel.com
A century after Gabrielle Chanel launched her first lipstick, these 12 new matte shades are a follow-up to 2023’s satin-finish collection. Each comes in a refillable glass case inspired by Chanel’s Rue Cambon staircase; colours range from cherry reds to blush pink. This season’s status product for the sponge bag.
Subtle Energies Vegan Collagen Serum
Price: £330
Click: subtleenergies.com.au
A vegan alternative that mimics human collagen using a fermentation process (animal collagen is sourced from cows or fish). The serum – part of the brand’s new biotech range – describes itself as a “natural filler” working to improve moisture, firmness and elasticity. It’s easily absorbed and fragrance-free, providing what HTSI testers describe as an instant plumping effect.
Murad Retexturizing Body + Face Pads
Price: £49
Click: murad.co.uk
Facial acne is a common concern, but less is said about blemishes on the body: spots, keratosis pilaris and ingrown hairs are often a recurring issue for those with inflamed skin. Murad’s exfoliating body wipes aim to target all three concerns in one step.
Tatcha Indigo Cleansing Balm
Price: £40
Click: tatcha.co.uk
From the creators of the viral Dewy Skin Cream comes a fragrance-free cleanser developed to remove make-up – even waterproof varieties – alongside impurities and pollutants. Tatcha’s products all contain Japanese botanicals: this one’s key ingredients are soothing indigo and lotus root.
Votary Sensitive Resurfacing Peel
Price: £70
Click: votary.co.uk
A “post-summer skin reset” containing 10 per cent lactic acid, a chemical exfoliant that hydrates, improves firmness and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and uneven skin tone. HTSI testers found this one suitable for sensitive skin, unlike many peels – in part thanks to its soothing seed extracts. Use weekly for three minutes at first, gradually building up to 10.
Dries Van Noten Eaux de Parfum
Price: from £225 for 100ml
Click: driesvannoten.com
Four new arrivals to the house’s 10-strong eaux de parfum collection: Bitter Splash (pomelo and leather), Vanille Camouflage (vanilla and galbanum), Camomille Satin (chamomile and vanilla) and Crazy Basil (basil and cedar).
Hermès Barénia
Price: £137 for 100ml EDP
Click: hermes.com
The first chypre perfume from Christine Nagel, Barénia combines butterfly lily, oakwood and patchouli in a sensual skin scent. The fragrance is named after Hermès’ heritage leather, and mirrors its supple texture, drying down after an initial spritz to a pleasingly buttery floral. The bottle, meanwhile, references the famously gnarly studded collier de chien bracelet.
Kate Somerville Mega-A Skin Transforming Serum
Price: £72
Click: katesomerville.co.uk
The LA-based facialist’s latest launch is powered by retinal, a new form of retinoid proven to be 11 times more effective than retinol. The lightweight, fragrance-free serum absorbs instantaneously: HTSI testers noticed firmer skin within a week. Use alongside an SPF.
